Second Glances and Neglected Memories

I have lived in Limehouse in east London, for half my life.  Faced with the prospect of moving I started revisiting all the places that held memories.  The fast pace of change means that quite a few places have been demolished or are unrecognisable, but there are many that are still standing.  The process of recording them has brought back a flood of other memories and experiences.  Limehouse may not be the most overtly beautiful part of London, but if you really look, there are little pockets of beauty. Add to that the stories of the places that I have been and the people that I have met briefly or known well over the years, and there is a something which feels very valuable.  Behind every painting is a story and together they tell the story  of my Limehouse life.
